Welcome and thank you for visiting Jay Bunce Photography. Based out of Sonoma County, I provide a photojournalistic style in a fine art fashion when capturing your wedding and portrait moments. We serve the greater Bay Area including San Francisco, Sonoma County, Napa Valley, Marin County, Mendocino County and Lake County.

Approach
I believe the first step in photographing people is to establish a relaxed relationship. This non-intrusive style allows me to capture people's true emotions and expressions in a creative collage of moments that tell a beautiful story.

Background
Photography in my mind is to capture the spontaneities of life's theatrical moments. Inspired by my father at a young age, I had a passion for nature's beautiful landscapes that surrounded me while growing up in Sonoma County. My inspiration only grew when I began photographing people, so I pursued photography in school. I also took a job at a pro photography shop to educate myself in the commercial world as well.

I use my inspiration for photography to educate and inspire others. I began giving classes in digital, portraits, film and studio lighting photography and also lectured for Sonoma County High Schools.

I now work full time in wedding, portrait and fine art photography. I use my foundation in both the technical and creative sides of photography to pass on a relaxed, confident relationship to all my clients.
